5870000 Pocket Colorimeter™ II

The most time tested portable colorimeter on the market. Use the chlorine Pocket Colorimeter II with the USEPA approved Free and Total Chlorine methods in Drinking Water and Total Chlorine method in wastewater analyses.

The Pocket II is a fast way to test chlorine that is compact, easy to use, and accurate.

  • Portable/rugged: The Pocket Colorimeter™ II Filter Photometer is a true go-anywhere instrument. It’s lightweight and battery operated, Pocket Colorimeter 5870000 -1suitable for extended field work or quick, on-the-spot process monitoring. Weighing only .23 kg (8.1 oz), the tough, impact-resistant shell protects electronics and optics for years of trouble-free operation. The PCII is waterproof, lightweight and rugged. You can get clear readings even under difficult conditions, thanks to lighting and large figures on the display. Also, it has a IP67 rating so that the Pocket Colorimeter II can remain submerged at 1 meter for 30 minutes and still function properly. And, the instrument is designed to float!
  • Easy to Use: The handheld pocket is a single parameter instrument so you can measure what you want to measure. Record 10 most recent data points along with time of measurement. No more manual record keeping hassles with carrying paper and pen.
  • Accuracy: The PCII provides you with accurate results. The instrument has two channels in which measurements can be made. Each channel will accept a user-defined calibration curve. Up to 10 standards can be used to determine the calibration. The curve is generated by a point-to-point straight line segment between each standard used. Linear and non-linear positive or negative slope calibrations can be performed. A calibration curve may also be manually entered from the keypad if a previously determined curve has been made on the Colorimeter. At least two data pairs (concentration and absorbance) are required.

Expert water analysis made simple.

Prevent Measurement Errors…Simply

Built with the future of water analysis in mind, the DR3900 Spectrophotometer will give consistently accurate results in a simpler testing format.LPV440.99.00002

This instrument connects to Claros, innovative Water Intelligence System, enabling you to seamlessly connect and manage instruments, data, and process – anywhere, anytime. The result is greater confidence in your data and improved efficiency in your operations.

Simple Preparation

TNTplus vials use DosiCaps that are easier to use than Powder Pillows or Liquid Reagents, without any risk of contamination.
The boxes and vials are color-coded for fast and easy parameter and range recognition of exactly the test you need.
Step-by-step illustrated test methods are printed on the box as quick reference or can be called up in the instrument menu.

Fast execution

A 2D barcode on the TNTplus vial is automatically read by the Hach DR spectrophotometer to identify the appropriate method and take the measurement. The vial spins to take 10-fold absorbance readings that will be averaged for result determination to exclude scratches and fingerprints. Instrument calibration verification and high instrument stability all combine to eliminate the need to run reagent blanks.
